Turns out Logan's got his mother's near-sightedness. Couldn't see the board at school. A trip to the eye dr. took care of that. Poor kid - got his dad's cowlicks and his mama's eyes. He still has his good looks though!! We sure love this easy kid...

"Please Sir, Can I have some more?"
Here's another photo for posterity:
Right now I just want to crawl into a hole or be whisked away to a remote tropical island, but alas....

Happenings...
I'm taking this time out from doing a homework assignment due at noon tomorrow to the State of California (yep, it's the day before -that's how I roll), to do some blogging about some pictures that have been in my camera for a few weeks.
I'll start with tonight's FHE treat. This is such a fun, easy idea that I had to share. Do you love S'Mores? Who doesn't? We made Indoor S'Mores by simply roasting marshmallows over Sterno cans. (I found mine in the camping section at WalMart) So fun and easy and you don't even have to gather firewood!!
Logan is enjoying being in Cub Scouts. They had their annual Blue and Gold Banquet. Our ward has a tradition of the boys and their dads creating a cake based on the theme. Logan and David created a beautiful fondant-covered blue 100 with gold stars. (Did you know this is the Boy Scouts of America's 100th year?) I don't think David will ever use fondant again. They did a great job though, I think.
Logan earned his Bobcat that night and I got my first Mom's pin. He was so cute about pinning it on me...
Hannah was a lead role in the last high school play of her career. She's a really awesome actress. It's kinda funny though, that she always plays a mom in every play. This is her as Ernie's mother in the one-act play "Ernie's Incredible Illucinations" Very cute play...
I took my gifted students to San Francisco for a day to attend the traveling King Tut exhibit. We saw lots of really old stuff covered in gold. It was absolutely incredible. I'm not sure if the kids appreciated it as much as I did but I hope that the significance of it might sink in one day.
One last thing I had to document was this cute picture of Sadie wanting jump into Jenna's bath water. She's really a cute puppy and we continue to fall in love despite the difficulties of house training.
That's all for now...my blog is updated and now you can all get back to your lives. Thanks for taking the time to stop by!!

Heaven Help Us...
SERIOUSLY...How could anything be so cute??!!
So...meet Sadie... She's a yorkshire terrier, pure-bred, (expensive), and adorable.
We have fallen in love. She has the best temperament and LOVES, LOVES playing with the kids. She's definitely keeping us entertained. (We're not loving the potty training, but for the most part she's keeping it on the tile floor)

Futures
David and Wendy are now the proud owners of this:
5 Acres of beautiful ground in Bangor, CA
And a good amount of debt.
Almost 10 years of marriage and we are getting that much closer to realizing dreams and goals of building the exact home that is right for us. We love the property and are excited about the possibilities. So, bring on the stress!!
